A fully full failure
It was going so well. Counting calories, eating less, eating healthier. I was on the right track.
And then…out of nowhere…
FRENCH FRIES.
Huge, golden, delicious steak-cut fries cooked in garlic and oil. The kind that crunch when you bite into them and then explode in a cloud of garlicky, salty flavor.
But that wasn’t all…
There were the tortilla chips with two kinds of salsa. The buttery-soft Pilsbury crescent rolls. The Trader Joe’s rice crackers in endless shapes and sizes, scooped out of the bag by the handful. The creamy mini Babybel gouda cheese wrapped in friendly, warm-to-the-touch red wax.
All made their way between my greedy, gnashing teeth. All coursed down my esophagus. All made their way through the various parts of the digestive tract that I wouldn’t be able to mention because I haven’t studied that in God knows how long. And now all are weighing me down, making me feel fully a failure.
But damnit, this isn’t the end! I will keep on going, I will have apples for breakfast, a salad and a sandwich for lunch! I will keep track of calories, consume those nutrients, I am a fighter, not a couch potato (even though potatoes are delicious)!

I think the problem I struggle with most is low energy. This doesn’t just affect my ability to work out, it also affects school performance, social situations, and simple things like staying organized. Coffee doesn’t help at all, nor does tea, and energy drinks just make me hurt. I’ve been toying with the idea of possibly seeking another means to help, but I’m scared of health risks. What do you guys think of aides like hydroxycut?

Ugggghhh
I’ve been trying to stick to healthy eating all week, but I just sat down and had dinner with my family…a real Filipino dinner, with pancit palabok (noodles prepared in a special way with eggs and other vegetables), arroz caldo (chicken rice porridge), and lumpia shanghai (deep-fried pork egg rolls). I ate a small to normal amount, not keeping in mind that this was all high-calorie, high-fat stuff. Now that I finally realized, I feel fat and bloated and gross…and most of all, really discouraged. I wonder why this is so difficult for me.

So I apologize that I haven’t been on here in months. I guess life got in the way of tumblr, weight loss, and even healthiness alike. I’m really discouraged that I haven’t been keeping up, but I’ve resolved to try and do better. Bear with me :/.

More Obstacles. Damn.
So I’ve been having awful stomach problems for the past day or so. Hopefully it’s a passing thing…but if it’s not, I think it may actually be this weird, unexplained thing that goes on with my body. Every two or three years or so since hitting puberty, and I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS HAPPENS, I start having stomach problems. At random times, about two to four times a week I’d say, my stomach starts hurting like someone is stabbing through it to pull it out while it cramps up in fear. And then periodically I get stomach flu. Like I said, what this is and why it happens is a total mystery, all I know is that when it does happen, I lose a ton of weight.
Losing a ton of weight is cool and all, but I do NOT want to do it this way. This way will just inhibit my healthiness goals and force me to eat weird, non-meals, like a handful of cereal and some tortillas. Oh yeah, and stomach flu sucks, so I’m down with not getting that.
I’m going to try my best to stay healthy and work out and stomach good meals in spite of this. But damn.
